29.000 km! First paint!
The BMW Z8 is one of those rare cars that seemed destined to become a classic from the very moment it was introduced. Its timeless design, powerful V8 engine and styling inspired by BMW’s legendary roadsters have made it one of the marque’s most desirable modern classics. Finding an example that combines such low mileage with an exceptionally well-documented history and remarkable originality makes this particular Z8 all the more special.
This Z8 was originally delivered in San Francisco in January 2001, where it was handed over to its first owner. In October 2008, the car was sold to its current owner, in whose possession it has remained for almost 18 years.
Since then, the Z8 has been continuously maintained by BMW in Düsseldorf and therefore benefits from a fully documented BMW service history and a complete service book. As the current owner has spent a considerable amount of his time abroad since 1993, the Z8 was only rarely driven while in Germany. This explains its exceptionally low mileage of just around 29,000 kilometres.
Equally impressive is the originality that the car has retained to this day. The Z8 remains accident-free and entirely in its original factory paint, with no repainted panels. Its history is also exceptionally well documented. Invoices and records from its few years in the United States are present, including the original new-car invoice. These are complemented by the complete documentation from its time in Germany and the fully maintained service book.
This is therefore a BMW Z8 that stands out for far more than its low mileage. Long-term ownership, completely original paintwork, continuous BMW maintenance and documentation dating back to its original delivery make this a particularly authentic and beautifully preserved example.
