The BMW Z8 is one of those rare cars that already had all the makings of a classic from the moment it was introduced. Its timeless design, powerful V8 engine and styling consciously inspired by BMW’s great roadsters have made it one of the marque’s most desirable models to this day. All the more interesting, then, is an example that combines exceptionally low mileage with a remarkably clear and comprehensive history.

This Z8 was originally delivered in Germany with a German VIN before making its way to San Francisco in 2001. In October 2008, the car was acquired by its current owner, in whose possession it has remained for almost 18 years.

Since its acquisition, the BMW has been maintained exclusively by BMW in Düsseldorf and consequently benefits from a fully traceable BMW service history and a complete service book. As the current owner has spent a large part of his time abroad since 1993, the Z8 has only been driven sparingly during its time in Germany. This also explains its exceptionally low mileage of just around 29,000 kilometres.

Particularly noteworthy is the car’s remarkably well-preserved original condition. The Z8 is accident-free and retains its original paint throughout. Its documentation is equally comprehensive: invoices and records from its time in the United States are present, as is the original purchase invoice.
