Few vehicles capture the spirit of the American 1960s as impressively as the Chevrolet Corvette C1. The example offered here, built in 1960, is presented in an exceptionally period-correct and striking color combination: red exterior, red interior and a white hardtop – the essence of the sixties.

The vehicle was sold to a collector in Belgium in 2017 and later the same year acquired by the current owner in Germany. Since then, the Corvette has remained in German ownership.

A special feature of this car is the complete frame-off restoration carried out in the United States. What makes this restoration remarkable is its philosophy: the goal was not modernization or technical upgrades, but to restore the car as authentically as possible to its original factory-delivered condition.

The restoration was therefore carried out consistently according to the original specifications. No technical modifications or modern upgrades were introduced. Instead, originality and authenticity remained the main focus throughout the process.

A particularly interesting detail can be seen in the paintwork. While the exterior surfaces were finished in high gloss, the inner areas were intentionally left in a matte finish – exactly as the vehicles were delivered from the factory at the time. This original production detail was carefully recreated during the restoration.

The color combination of red on red with a white roof further enhances the car’s presence and perfectly reflects the style and atmosphere of the early 1960s.

The vehicle comes with various documents, including several German TÜV inspection reports from recent years as well as an appraisal report from 2017.

This Corvette C1 combines an outstanding period color combination, a restoration focused on authenticity and the iconic design language of early American sports cars – offering a rare opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
