Icon of the sixties
The Flaminia GT was built between 1959 and 1967 by Carrozzeria Touring. The shape is based on that of the Maserati 3500 GT. The Superleggera construction typical of Touring, a body with an aluminum-clad tubular steel frame, ensured a 200 kg weight reduction. The kerb weight was thus only 1337 kg. Thus also the car magazine Auto, Motor und Sport 1960, wrote enthusiastically about the car and called it the best driving, series-produced sports car.
The car on offer here is the 3C version, with three double carburetors and a remarkable 140 hp. Only a few examples were built, making the Flaminia GT one of the most sought-after sports cars of the sixties. The car has already been completely restored in England in 1998. Various invoices about it are still available. Afterwards the car came to a well known collection in Bavaria. The interior is still completely original and shows patina. Technically, the car is in very good condition and has just been extensively overhauled.
We are pleased to offer this car on behalf of a customer and look forward to your visit.
