Delivered in April 1971 in Laguna Beach, the car still embodies that distinctive West Coast spirit: free, stylish, and unmistakably sporty.

The Targa remained in California until 2014 and enjoyed long-term ownership throughout its time there. The first owner kept the car until 1999, after which it was registered to a second owner in California, where it continued to be carefully maintained for many years.

In 2014, the car was sold to its current owner in Germany. Since then, it has not been regularly registered for road use, but has only been driven on dealer (07) plates.

To this day, the 911 presents itself in an exceptionally original condition. It is a matching numbers example that has preserved its authenticity over the years. Only minor, localized repainting has been carried out without compromising the car’s original character.

Following its acquisition in 2014, the car underwent an extensive technical overhaul. The entire suspension was removed, cleaned, refurbished or replaced where necessary. The engine and gearbox were also taken out and thoroughly rebuilt. All lines were renewed or reconditioned, ensuring the car is now in excellent technical condition while retaining its original substance.

A truly outstanding feature of this vehicle is its documentation. From the original order and purchase invoice dating back to 1971 through to the present day, every single invoice has been preserved. All documents from its time in the United States as well as the complete documentation from Germany are available. Even the original Porsche service booklet from 1971, along with period-correct documents and cards, are part of this exceptional history.

Such a complete and fully traceable history over more than five decades is extremely rare for a vehicle from 1971.
